2018 Skyline Raceway Park Street Stock Rules

These rules are posted here as conveyance only, Not responsible for any type Os or other copying mistakes. Call the track office at 607-745-0275 if you have any questions.

Open to any American Made Car – 1960 or newer. In the event your car does not fit the rules, but you wish to compete, please contact Skyline Raceway Park Tech officials for a ruling ahead of time so we may make a determination on your car before you arrive. Engine style and Transmission style should be displayed on the hood. NO mirrors, two way radio or phone devises allowed.

1960 or newer American manufacturer brand rear wheel drive passenger car. NO SUVs, or jeeps. NO strut cars allowed. Minimum wheelbase 107” with 1” tolerance. Roll Cage must be constructed using 1 1/2 .095 tubing Min. It is highly recommended that the driver side door bars be plated with sheet steel. (16 ga.) Front frame stubs forward of the steering box and idler arm may be replaced with tubing. Unibody cars can have the frame replaced with 2x3 tubing from 36” behind centerline of front wheels. 2x3 tubing must go over the rear end housing. Front frame on all cars can be replaced forward of the steering box and idler arm with tubing. Front clip must remain stock – Center main cross member cannot be altered. The Johnson Chassis or equivalent is allowed as a replacement for the GM METRIC FRAME.

All suspension and steering mounts must be in stock OEM mounting location unless noted otherwise. Front lower control mounts must be in OEM location. Lower “A” arm pivot holes are to remain stock as per OEM spec. NO relocating or Slotting allowed. Must use steel slug on Johnson Chassis and must be the same side to side. Upper A frames may be replaced with a steel shaft tubular A frame. Aftermarket upper A frame mounts allowed in OEM location with a max. 1 inch tolerance. Control arm length of 9 inches MAX. Tie rod ends may be replaced with heim joints. Steering column may be replaced for safety. Steel body shocks front and rear. Stock or alternate locations allowed. One shock per wheel (NO ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS ALLOWED) weight “jack bolts”, adjustable spring spacers allowed. No pull bars, torque arms, pan hard bars or leaf/coil over type suspensions. No three link rear suspensions. All Lower suspension bushings (Front & Rear can be replaced with solid type rubber or steel bushings. (NO MONO BALL TYPE) on front or rear lower control arms.

Hoods should be factory items or equivalent, subject to tech approval. Steel or aluminum roofs must be a min thickness of .040. Fiber glass roof and hood allowed subject to tech approval. Spoiler allowed, max height of 5”. Width no wider than the body. 82 inch MAX. Side body panels may be replaced with sheet metal or aluminum min .040. Aftermarket front bumper covers mandatory rear bumper covers optional. NO late model style down force noses allowed. (NO fiberglass). Front and rear bumpers are NOT allowed to have any sharp edges that may cut a tire. Rear bumper must run the entire width of body and be min of 12” in height from ground. All exterior rub rails, front and rear bumpers WILL have rounded edges and exposed bolts must be carriage bolts. Mandatory loop bar or heavy chain front and rear for wrecker use is mandatory. 

Non-Performance world product replacement Chevy Heads allowed. Part # World 043600 or World 043610.
NO hand grinding, sanding, blending, or DE-burring where a cutter or stone leaves off.
NO sand blasting, bead blasting, acid dipping, porting, polishing, NO welding.
NO titanium or aluminum valve train parts allowed.
NO relieving or unshrouding of valves in combustion chamber.
Screw in studs and guide plates allowed.
May run double valve springs.
All factory casting numbers must remain visible.
NO aluminum heads, even if they OEM parts.
Maximum cubic inch 360” maximum cubic inch displacement.
GM: 350 CI + .060”, 4” Bore x 3.480” Stroke
FORD: 351 CI + .060”, 4” Bore x 3.5” Stroke
FORD: 347 CI + .060”, 4 Bore x 3.4” Stroke
CHRYSLER: 360 CI + .060”, 4 Bore x 3.578” Stroke
CHRYSLER: 340 CI + .060”, 4.040” Bore x 3.13” Stroke
Blocks may be decked, but piston must not extend above deck at all.
Wet sump oil pans only.
Flat tappet cams only.

Allowable Vortec heads must have casting numbers 10239906, 12552520, and 12558062.
World product or Stock GM heads with 2.02 “– 1.6” Valves.  Vortec Heads will have 1.94” – 1.5” Valves.
GM Bowtie angle plug allowed with 2.02 - 1.6 valves

NO open air filters through the hood of any kind.

Flat top pistons only NO dome pistons of any kind.

Any steel rod allowed.

Crankshafts of stock dimensions, weight, and style must weigh 45 pound minimum.
Balancing of rotating assembly allowed. Stock stroke only for make/ size of engine, NO altering of stock/ stroke crankshafts allowed.

Crossover are allowed. 1 5/8 or 1 ¾ headers.  NO 180 degree or step headers allowed. NO exhaust can run through driver’s compartment.
All headers must exit underneath car with exhaust pipes exiting past driver and end before rear tires with no crankcase evacuation type systems. NO two into one exhaust or H pipe connections in exhaust systems (mufflers recommended).

Stock cast iron intake, Edelbrock duel plane or torqer 4 bbl allowed. No Victor Jr or Hi Rise allowed. Optional aluminum intake for Vortec heads  GM PN 12366573, Vortec 2116,  Elbrock 7116 only. You must use BRP 377 Carb Adapter with these intakes. NO marine, bowtie, TBI, propane intakes allowed. NO porting, polishing, shot blasting, acid etching, or other cover up work allowed. NO plenum area work at all other than to mill carburetor mounting service to remove rust allowed. A 1” tall fiber or aluminum carburetor adapter may be used to adapt to Holley two BBL carp.

OEM style electronic ignition systems only. NO aftermarket systems such as MSD, magneto, etc. NO traction control or timing altering devices allowed. No crank trigger ignitions or multi coil systems.

NO electric water pumps. Pump mounted fans only, No electric fans. NO flex fans, NO aluminum fans. Any pulleys allowed.
Any radiator but must remain in stock location. NO duct systems designed to direct air to intake/carb.

Gasoline only, maximum of 22 gal fuel cell with foam and roll valve mandatory. All fuel lines runs through driver’s compartment must be steel braided with no pipe fitting and routed in a safe manner away from exhaust header. Fuel shut off must be well marked and within drivers reach. Mechanical block mounted OEM fuel pumps only.

Limited to one stock 4412 Holley 2BBL carburetor. All carburetors must pass all no-go gauge checks with body, base plate, boosters, throttle shafts, etc. all being unmodified and in stock location. NO polishing of any part of carburetor. NO modifications to pick up air from any source other than through top of carburetor, such as cut gaskets, drilling, etc. Only the following changing may be made to carburetors. : Jets, Power valves, Air bleeds, Emulsion bleeds, Float, Pump/Cam,Needle/Seat. Idle Bypass Holes in butterflies.
Plugging/blocking of vacuum ports, welding linkage to shaft, installing shaft bushings to correct worn shafts and tightening for safety is allowed.

Only a General Motor speck # 19258602 I.D. Plate must be accessible. Stock rocker arms that came with motor only. OEM style fan and water pump crank driven. NO electric fans or clutch fans. NO evacuation pumps of any kind. Mechanical, electrical or otherwise not allowed.
Engines must pull a minimum of 19 inches of vacuum at an idle. Replacement valve spring part number # GM 10212811.
A 1” inspection plug must be installed in the oil pan and be accessible for inspection.

Hei distributor that comes with motor. A Rev Limiter is mandatory. Rev limiter, recommended MSD 8727CT set @ 6200, others allowed, MSD Rev Limiter # MSD 87286 with a 6200 RPM Chip. Rev Box must be face up and be taped into the rev box. This must be hooked up and working at all times. If found to be higher than 6200 RPM chip, you will lose purse and points for that event, a fine of $500.00 must be paid before you will be allowed to race again. MSD must be out of reach of driver. All wiring to rev limiter box not permitted to be in a wiring harness, all wires must be clearly visible. Rev box must be under the hood and be easily removed for tech purposes, NO cock pit mounts.
Rev boxes may be confiscated or swapped by race track officials.

Factory OEM automatic or standard transmissions. Stock Size functional torque converter must measure min. 10.5-in. O.D. Factory stock steel flywheel and factory stock steel pressure plate housing, one clutch disc only. NO AFTER MARKET PRESSURE PLATE OR CLUTCH DISC. Manual transmissions must have a full steel bell housing. All cars running Automatic transmissions are recommended to run a scatter shield safety blanket. Steel drive shaft only painted white with car number. Drive shaft must have two hoops one no more than 6” from the front u-joint and one in the middle of drive shaft.
IF RUNNING - Falcon/Bert/Brinn Transmission:  (See weight rule) Falcon/Bert/Brinn Transmission: Falcon #60100 ONLY, Bert #BERLMZ ONLY, BRINN 70001 ONLY or Automatics with Direct Drive Set ups may be used with an Open or Crate motor - No Ball spline type Transmissions.( See weight rule)

Rear end may be replaced using the Ford 9”  "Steel" mini spool or full spool only.  Floaters allowed. Coil cars must use lower trailing arms that meet OEM specs, length, location and have rubber or steel bushings (NO MONO BALL). Rear upper control arms may be fabricated and adjustable with heim joints. Length to match from side to side. Coil springs must be located in stock location on the top of the rear end housing. ,  Leaf springs allowed, Must be magnetic – adjustable sliders allowed. Measurements from the center of rear end tube to front mounting point of spring must match side to side. NO pull bars, torque arms, pan hard bars or leaf/coil over type suspensions. NO three link rear suspensions. NO traction control devices. NO quick change, Lockers, Gleason, or Gold Track rear ends.

Steel wheels only - Max wheel width of 8” max. Any backspace, Bead locks allowed on Right side. Tires will be as follows: American Racer 245-70-15  - Grooving, grinding and siping are allowed.
Must use at least ½ “lugs with 1” racing lug nuts. Only Foam type wheel plugs allowed. NO duze type covers. NO chemical treating - NO wide five Rims or hubs.

Car must have four fully functional OEM style calipers and rotors “ STEEL ONLY”. Balance bars, external or remote adjusters allowed. NO electronic devices allowed.

Fuel cell must be securely fastened in the trunk area of the car. Cell over flow/vent must have a role over valve either internal or external. A PVC valve is recommended externally. This will prevent tech from checking physically for check valves internally.

Minimum weight with driver after heat and feature: 3000lb

Driver seat must be located in stock OEM position . Seat must be a minimum of 25” in front of the rear axle housing, measured to the rear bottom of the diver seat. Gloves and neck brace are required. NO fiberglass seats. Five point racing safety harness is mandatory. Head and neck restraints are recommended. Holes through firewall should be kept to a minimum and sealed. Window nets are mandatory.

(one 12 volt battery only) battery must be mounted in such a manner that it will not break free from its mounting location. It is recommended that it be mounted in a marine type battery box.

Skyline Raceway Park Tech reserves the right to check and deem any car in competition illegal regardless of home track. Items not covered in these rules are at the discretion of Skyline Raceway Park Tech Officials. In the interest of fair competition Skyline Raceway Park reserves the right to address any over competitive race car.
